Dustin Carpenter, Consultant
Dustin is a Consultant at Russell Philanthropies. He is passionate about driving systems change to create greater impact in fundraising, governance, and leadership.
Dustin brings more than a decade of experience crafting mission-critical strategies that drive sustainable growth and lasting impact across various nonprofit organizations. He previously held senior leadership roles at the Orlando Health Foundation, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and Canine Companions for Independence. He has also spearheaded the formation of business and religious startups, and served as the board chair for the Pine Castle Historical Society.
In addition to success in securing major gifts, grants, and planned gifts, Dustin has overseen development teams responsible for individual giving, grant programs, community events, and regional volunteer initiatives across several states. He has helped nonprofits restructure major giving and grant programs, steward their operations, and redesign their CRM practices.
Dustin holds master’s and undergraduate degrees from the University of Florida, specializing in business administration, organizational leadership, and international business.
