Rebecca Bowen, Co-President

(she/her)

Rebecca Bowen is Co-President at Russell Philanthropies. With more than three decades of experience in philanthropy, Rebecca most recently served as the Chief Advancement Officer for the YMCA of the USA.

Rebecca Bowen joined Resilient Philanthropies in November 2023 as the capstone to a three decade career in philanthropy. Rebecca’s 15 years in the C-suites of high-impact organizations — including the YMCA of the USA and The Nature Conservancy — have given her a keen understanding of the unique role that philanthropy can play in advancing an organization’s strategy, culture, partnerships, and positioning.

Rebecca is adept at bravely and boldly assessing growth opportunity and aligning structure to realize it. She has worked with organizational leadership to design and complete hundreds of campaigns and programmatic initiatives, closing more than $1BN gifts and empowering organizational leadership and fundraising teams to do the same.

A graduate of Barnard College, Rebecca lives in Boston, where she serves on the Board of Ministers and Deacons for Old South Church in Boston and revels in the New England landscape.
